Our National Flag
The national flag of Bangladesh holds profound significance, symbolizing the nation's struggle for independence and its rich cultural heritage. Designed by renowned artist Kamrul Hasan, the flag features a vibrant combination of green and red, with a large red circle in the center. The green color represents the lushness of the country's landscape, while the red circle symbolizes the bloodshed and sacrifices made by the Bengali people during their fight for freedom. The flag was officially adopted on January 17, 1972, following Bangladesh's liberation from Pakistan. It flies proudly across the nation, embodying the spirit of unity, resilience, and pride of the Bangladeshi people.
